Summitsoft makes the tools small businesses use to look professional: logo and graphic design programs, design content, and fonts licensed for commercial work.
From consulting to publishing
Summitsoft was founded in 1993 as a consulting firm. It worked with US software publishers expanding into international markets, and brought developers from abroad into North American retail.
By late 2001, publishing its own titles was the natural next step. Summitsoft built a line of design and productivity software for start-ups and small businesses, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, and sold through retailers in North America, Australia, Japan, Europe and the United Kingdom.
Its best-known title, Logo Design Studio Pro, pairs vector drawing tools with thousands of professionally designed templates and objects. The SummitType foundry designs the fonts in Summitsoft's collections, from the Creative Fonts sets to the 7,400+ faces of FontPack Pro Master Collection.
Today Summitsoft products are sold and supported by Encore Software, LLC, from Novato, California.
