Mexican restaurants, for instance, can opt for images of a sombrero, cactus, chili or pair of maracas—all of which easily reminds customers of Mexico.

Another way to reach out to the public is to give them a peek into your restaurant’s atmosphere. Think hearts and candles plus an elegant font, if you offer a romantic fine-dining experience. For steakhouses, food trucks and other casual-dining spots, go with light or fun images and heavy or simple typefaces.

Just remember that along with a visually striking look, you need a concept and design that paints a clear picture of what your customers can expect from your establishment.
